Well, now my new book, "Memories of the Great Depression: A Time Remembered," is properly posted on Amazon under "John Donald O'Shea," ... but they've deleted the posing under "John O'Shea." They tell me the "algorithm" did it! ... which gives me an idea. Next time I play a lousy game of golf, I'm going to blame the algorithm!
If you look under "John Donald O'Shea" it is not grouped with my first two books, but if you scroll down about 10 books, voila! I still like the option of ordering DIRECTLY from the publisher, CROSSLINK PUBLISHING: here's the link: https://crosslinkpublishing.com/shop/memories-of-the-great-depression-vol-ii/

My new book, “Memories of the Great Depression: a Time Remembered” is now available on Amazon.com
To find it, you will have to type in the Amazon search bar, “John O’Shea” or the name of the book. It should, of course, be posted under “John Donald O’Shea,” with my first two books. But I have solemn assurances from the publisher that the correction will be made. Memories of the Great Depression: a Time Remembered is now available for order on the website of my publisher, Crosslinks Publishing: https://crosslinkpublishing.com/
The metadata has been seen to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, et al, so my new book should be widely available in the next few days. My book contains the stories of 24 people who lived during America's Great Depression of the 1930s. All the stories are first-hand accounts based on my personal interviews of the 24. The history of small rural cemetery shown on the cover is explained in one of the stories. A few notes about my books — those published, and those in process.
A. If you haven't seen my second book, The Stuffed Animal, and if you need a Christmas gift for young children, The Stuffed Animal is my illustrated children’s Christmas story that was published by Beacon Publishing late last year. Presently, it is available on Amazon "dirt cheap." It has had only one review, but that is a 5-Star review. My first book Memories of the Great Depression: a Time Forgotten, is also available at Amazon. Just type “John Donald O’Shea” into the Amazon search bar. B. Memories of the Great Depression: a Time Remembered, my second book about the Great Depression is presently at the printers. It will be my third book. The metadata has been sent by Crosslink Publishing to Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and the other major retailers. I was hoping the it would be available for order prior to Christmas. At the minute, I am not so sure that that will happen, but I’m hoping it will be available for at least advance sale in the next couple days. C. I have a second illustrated children’s Christmas story, which I call The Christmas Reindeer. I just received the illustrations, and I am very pleased with them. It’s too late to seek a publisher for it this year, but I will begin to shop it early in the New Year. D. I am near finishing up two more books. The first is about the origin, emergence and development of the criminal jury trial. I have yet to come up with a catchy name for it. The other is a little book that asks, "Is there a God, what’s he like, and does he reward good and punish evil?" I am presently thinking of I calling it Whispers … perhaps from God. E. And finally, I am about to resume work on my third book dealing with America’s Great Depression of the 1930s. Recounting these stories has become a labor of love for me. I presently have 13 stories, and I could use 11 more. If you know anybody in their nineties, with a good memory, please connect me with them. I’d let to get their stories before they are forever lost. Merry Christmas, Don |
